Moments of Moda means moments of style in Spanglish.

As a young girl I always liked to dress up and stand out from the rest.

In my friend group in high school I would either be wearing the "weirdest thing" or starting trends. Friends would tell me "if anyone can pull it off; its you".

I would be creative with my looks since my shopping budget was limited. I never liked to wear what everyone else thought was "trendy". I wanted to stand out and so because of that I began to develop my personal style that enabled me to tell my story.

My style is a personal love poem and was created by various moments of my life growing up.

Being a first gen Latina American; it only felt right to have my brand name be in Spanglish. Something that I’m accustomed to using in my every day life.

Moments of Moda stands for all the moments that brought me here and the ones I’ve yet to see.

Q: When did you realize styling was your passion?

A: Since I could remember! I was young and must’ve been about 13 years old. I would put looks together for friends, and family members . It came easy to me. It was like a fun crossword puzzle in my brain.

Q: Who or what is your current style icon?

A: I have a few current style icons at the moment. I’m heavily inspired by art, pop-culture, and 80s movies. I’m obsessed with Tina Leung, Kahlana Barfield Brown, Tracee Ellis Ross and Zendaya.

Q: Why is styling so important?

A: Good style is more than just dressing well. I believe that the way we dress can have a major impact on the way we feel about ourselves. First impressions are everything and dressing well will set the tone for new opportunities on the horizon.

Q: You share a lot about your culture on socials; how do you also incorporate that into your styling work?

A: I’m a proud Latina, who is passionate about highlighting other Latinx businesses. My culture and my roots are something I will always share with the world. Community is also extremely important to me, if one of us wins; we all win.

Q: What’s one piece of advice you’d give your younger self?

A: Be kinder to yourself, and know que tu vales mucho.
